Reading and writing for academic purposes
The first level in a 3-parts series. Critical Reading, Critical Thinking, Essay Writing, Graph Writing
A bridge into the world of study through English
Students read and answer comprehension questions on academic topics. They then write five-paragraph independent essays, and also compare and contrast academic texts doing integrated reading-writing activities and graph summaries.
Students Learn to Read and Write Academic English
Academic Reading and Writing helps students develop the reading and writing skills needed in academic contexts. The reading and writing activities mirror many of the questions that students might encounter on a TOEFL® or IELTS exam. Included are many sample essays which serve as models to help students develop their own academic tone.
All Abax books will come with codes attached to give students access to our AbaxLMS. This LMS will include all the audio for each book, plus our new eLearning system which includes: voice recognition, extended speaking, video, listening and vocabulary activities. All of which work cross-platform, across smart phones, tablets and computers.
